{"id":5,"date":"2010-01-20T15:52:58","date_gmt":"2010-01-20T15:52:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.xmkk.org\/?page_id=5"},"modified":"2010-06-20T11:56:43","modified_gmt":"2010-06-20T08:56:43","slug":"about-committee","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.xmkk.org\/en\/about-committee","title":{"rendered":"About the Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Christian Interconfessional Advisory Committee of the CIS-Countries and Baltics (CIAC) was founded in 1993 to promote cooperation between Christians from the former Soviet republics.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-55\" href=\"http:\/\/www.xmkk.org\/churches\/110-2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"110\" src=\"http:\/\/www.xmkk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/1101-300x184.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"184\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Its basic kinds of activities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Researching and developing recommendations <\/strong>within the field of contemporary inter-confessional and inter-religious relations; searching for new approaches on the strengthening of world peace, achieving public consensus while preventing inter-ethnic and -religious strife; developing proposals on how to perfect legislation on freedom of conscience;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00b7 <\/strong><strong>Developing relations <\/strong>with domestic and foreign academics and experts, with research centres, government departments and offices, non-governmental organisations and any other associations open for joint activities in accordance with CIAC objectives;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Organising <\/strong><strong>and carrying out authorised activities <\/strong>such as international conferences, seminars and symposiums both in Russia and abroad;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00b7 <\/strong><strong>Informing the Russian and international public <\/strong>on its experiences in settling inter-religious conflicts and developing constructive dialogue; preparing the publication and distribution of books, brochures, lectures, bulletins and other printed materials as well as organising radio and television broadcasts, public lectures and seminars;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00b7 <\/strong><strong>Assisting in the holding of both bi-lateral and multi-lateral inter-confessional consultations <\/strong>and in the execution of other activities intending to promote the development of cooperation between Christian churches.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christian Interconfessional Advisory Committee of the CIS-Countries and Baltics (CIAC) was founded in 1993 to promote cooperation between Christians from the former Soviet republics.
